Virtual Memory review

Tak s novým rokem tu máme novou kompilaci od anglického
labelu Alchemy
records.
Kompilace se jmenuje Virtual Memory a je
na ní 9 skladeb.
Skladba 1 Fatali - Ultrasmooth. Jedná se
o nového izraelského autora. Vcelku příjemná skladba na začátek
kompilace.
Kvalitní produkce, ale občas dost připomíná skladby od Astrixe.
Druhou skladbu vyprodukoval DJ Junya pod jménem
Eskimo - Going Nowhere Fast. Příjemný full on track s positivní
atmosférou. Skladba je chytrá kompozičně a docela dobře se hodí
na parket před svítáním. Ke konci je ještě přidaná melodie...co
dodat.
Třetí track vzešel ze studií dvou rozličných projektů
Sesto Sento and Intergalactic - Sarcastic Bee a rozdělené
asi taky zůstat měly. Skladba je taková celkově nijaká. Basa je
nějak prapodivně zachrchlaná, zvuky se nevýrazně prolínají, nějak
to nikam nevede.
Za to 4 to je jiná káva panečku. Rinkadink and
Green Reefah - Blank je podle mě nejlepší skladba na celé kompilaci.
Skvělé intro, výborná dynamická basa a jdeme na věc. Atmosféra hodně
připomína skladby od Dark Soho, temná ale hodně silná skladba. Výborná
konstrukce i použití efektů a breaků. Vážně pecka.
Groundzero - Way to go je skladba pátá.
Jedná se o vedlejší projekt Dark Soho spolu s majitelem Alchemy
Records (Shane Gobi). Na rozdíl od skladeb DS není tato tolik temná,
je více "funky" dalo by se říct. Víc ruchů, zvuků atd....
Šestka Stralia - Celebra je neuvěřitelná
jízda, temnota, psychedelie, super zvuky, super samply, výborné
rytmy. Full on se vším všudy. Prostředek kompilace se opravdu povedl:-).
Miraculix - Bad dream je skladba sedmá.
Kdo kdy slyšel nějakou skladbu od Miraculixe asi ví co očekávat,
k nějakému zásadnímu posunu (bohudík/bohužel) nedošlo. Skladba je
hodně melodická - nu age goa style...mě hodně potěšila táhlá melodie,
která je v této skladbě zakomponována.
Předposlední záležitostí je izraelský Psydrop
- Earthcore a s ním melodický full on. Hodně mi to připomíná
starší izra fičáky. Všechno je v této skladbě vyšroubováno až na
maximum a snad ještě dál...
Tak a jdeme do finále...poslední věcí je Earthilng
vs Paul Taylor - White Rabbit. Myslím si, že finále mohlo znít
mnohem lépe. Tohle je naprosto klasická moderní full on skladba.
Nějak se mi nedaří identifikovat tyto projekty jeden od druhého,
jelikož to všechno zní nějak
stejně a povědomě. Prostě nic extra....

Takže závěrem - prostřední část celé kompilace má nejlepší skladby
- 4,5,6,8 jsou skvělé. 1,2,7 taky hodně kvlaitní....jen
3,9 se nějak nevyvedli.
Všichni co mají rádi inteligentní full on psychedelic
trance si tuto kompilaci určitě užijí.

So I tried to make full review of Virtual Memory. This is a new
Alchemy compilation and it definitely keeps its standard.

1 track Fatali - Ultrasmooth. For me a newcoming artist from
Israel. Qiute good track with a nice production. Good one for begining
of the compilation. Dont know what else to add - there is nice melody
that reminds me a kind of Astrix style, but the bassline is different.

Track 2 Eskimo - Going Nowhere Fast. Under this name is Dj
Junya. Full on track that stays on the positive side of the spectrum.
Very groovy bassline, sympatic contruction of the track, could suite
very good before the sunrise. And at the end nice melody is going
around.

3rd track is cooperation between Sesto Santo and Intergalactic
- Sarcastic Bee. I have to say that I heard better tracks from
both artists. The bassline is quite dirty or what :-) and the mixture
of the sounds is not so good by my opinion.
But on the dancefloor it could work well. Nothing special to me.....

Track 4 is one of the highlights of this comp. Rinkadink and
Green Reefah - Blank. Very dark somehow DarkSohoish atmosfere.
Great intro, great bassline... and u r in. Waiting what will happend.
Sounds and noises are slowly coming, then some unindetified noise
constructs with others the main theme... Very clever use of constructing
the track. Dark but powerfull feeling from whole track. Great one
once again.

The 5 is made by Groundzero - Way to go. Shanes colaboration
with Dark Soho devils :-). Not so dark as we are used to hear from
DS, but more noisy and squicky. Very danceable track with nice moments
and funny samples in it.

6: Stralia - Celebra. Absolute killer - Dark atmosphere,
great sounds, great effect on it, dancefloor smasher at its best.
Weird sounds at the background, nice rhythms. This is pure Brazilian
Jewel.

Track 7 Miraculix - Bad dream. If u know his previous work
u wont be dissapointed. Its a similar formula again. Similar sounds,
similar contruction.
The new think is the long melody that is really good, gothic style.
Very melodic track - nu age goa.

8 Psydrop - Earhcore. Melodic fullon stuff at its best. The
israeliens fullon sqeezers continues. Stomping, twisting melodic
psychedelia. Great to get dancers out of the solar system.

Last track - Earthilng vs Paul Taylor-White Rabbit.
Imho nothing special - standard full-on track with good production.
But anyway it is good track to finnish the compilation.

So the final verdikt (by me): this compilation has its highlights
in the middle - tracks 4,5,6,8 are amazing. 1,2,7
are also nice. Only the 3,9 didnt make it for me.
So people that are looking for intelligent full on psychedelic
trance found their goods.
