Jirah
je nové jméno, které příchází z amerického Seattlu, a po několika tracích, které
vydal na různých amerických kompilacích, je tu se svým debutovým albem, které
vyšlo na izraelském labelu U.S.T.A.
records.
Když jsem vložil disc do cd playeru a první track začal hrát, pomyslel jsem
si: "ach jo, zase další klon od ..... ?" (snad víte o kom mluvím ;).
Ale po chvíli mne zaujaly celkem svěží zvuky a nápady. Celé album nám přináší
svěží full on psychedelic trance s občasnými mírnými old school sklony.
Jirah se s námi vydává na 9 opravdu dlouhých cest skrze vibrující synthy a
příjemnou pozitivní atmosférou do zemí, kde obloha je stále modrá a slunce svítí
do rozesmátých tváří tančících lidí. Silná rytmika jen člověka vybízí k tanci
a energické vzletné melodie společně s moderními zvuky a efekty uvádějí člověka
do tranzu.
Neočekávejte ale ten typ alba, o kterém si pomyslíte, že jste to ještě nikdy
takhle neslyšeli. Je to dobrá kolekce dobře vyprodukovaných tracků, kde jasně
slyšíte, u koho se Jirah inspiroval, ale nechybí ani jeho nápady a ne úplně
provařené motivy. Nebojí se použít i zvuky akustické kytary, krátké vokály a
jiné další klasičtějsí zvuky.
Tohle album je hlavně pro ty, kterým v dnešním psytrance chybí to, co měli
rádi před několika lety. Ale ani ti, kteří to mají rádi psychedelic, full-on,
optimistické a uplifting, by neměli být zklamáni.

Jirah is a new artist coming from Seattle (USA) and after a few tracks released
at various US compilations he is releasing his debut album at israeli label
U.S.T.A. records.
When I insterted the disc into my cd player for the first time and the first
track started to play I thought: "aaah, another clone of .... (you know
who I mean ;)??" But after a while fresh sounds and ideas caught my mind.
The album brings us original and fresh sounding full on psychedelic trance with
a small old school touch.
Jirah takes us on 9 long journeys through vibrating synths and a nice positive
athmosphere into the lands where the sky is always blue and the sun is shining
into the smiling faces of dancing people. Powerfull beats and basslines makes
his music very danceable & energetic and uplifting melodies with smart using
of modern sounds and effects takes the listener into the state of trance.
Do not expect a kind of "never heard such a music before". It’s a
nice collection of very well produced tracks, where you can hear Jirah’s inspirations
from other artists, but his personal and original ideas and work are not missing.
He is not aware to use sound of acoustic guitar, short vocal samples and other
more "classical" sounds.
This album is worth getting for those who are missing something which they
used to love a few years ago. But the rest of you shouldn’t be dissapointed
as well, if you like it psychedelic, full-on, positive & uplifting.
