Do České republiky dorazily vstupenky na letošní Samothraki
Dance Festival, který je jednou z největších událostí letošního léta. S
jeho pořadateli jsme tu měli rozhovor.
Lístek na festival vypadá jako kreditní karta, tzn. že její součástí je magnetický
pásek. Pro zakoupení lístku je podmínkou uvést jméno osoby, která si kupuje.
Na vstupenku si bude možno zarezervovat místo na lodi, která jede na ostrov.
Celkový počet lístků je limitován na 7000! V první vlně předprodeje, která
končí 30.4. a kdy jsou lístky za nejnižší cenu, bylo vydáno 1000 vstupenek,
přičemž do České republiky dorazil jen velmi omezený počet.
Cena lístku zahrnuje vstup na 7 dní festivalu a 9 dní pro kempování. Brány
festivalu se otevřou 27. srpna 2003 a kemp musí být vyklizen 4. září 2003.

An International Electronic And Dance Music Festival In Greece, hosted by one
of the most beautiful islands of the Aegean Sea....
SAMOTHRAKI ISLAND
Samothraki Team invites the most important artists and producers of the international
electronic scene, to two stages and promises eight days and seven nights at
a place you will always remember. Featuring the usual suspects of trance, progressive,
ambient, dub, freestyle and world music music
Samothraki is an emerald-green island in the northeast part of the Aegean Sea,
in Greece.Samothraki is noted for its beauty. The most dominant feature of the
island is its massive mountains of which the highest peak is called "FEGARI"(MOON).
Fegari is also the highest mountain of all in the Aegean Islands and there are
Forrests, fields, rivers, beautiful lakes and mote than a 100 waterfalls. The
whole island is thickly wooded and here one can see of the richest habitats
of rare and unique animals and plants.
The Festival will be held in the municipal camping, which is located in the
northeast of the island and only 15km from the port (our buses will pick you
up and transfer you to the festival area)
The whole event will be held in an unspoiled plain-Lush with forest beach!!!
(both music stages are on the beach!!). The festival area is 2km2 and as we
all realize of Limited capacity. The temperature at that time will touch the
30 C but because of the high trees, you will be able to find shade to relax
all over the area. The forest is unspoiled and the sea is deep blue and crystal.
For the 2003 festival we have limited tickets to 7000 so its wise to advise
everyone to purchase their tickets as soon as possible

HOW TO GET TO GREECE
1.By Airoplane
You can arrive in Greece , by landing in three (3) different cities-airports:
in Athens (Spata, El. Venizelos Airport) , in Thessaloniki (Macedonia airport)
and in Kavala (City Airport)
2. By Boat
Arriving by boat can be done From Italy, Ancona / Bari / Bridisi Ports to PATRA
(City Port), and then you take the bus or train to Athens or from Italy to IGOUMENITSA
(City Port), and then take the bus to Thessaloniki
3. By Bus or Train
There are rail and bus connections from Central and Eastern European Countries
to Athens and Thessaloniki
HOW TO GET TO SAMOTHRAKI ISLAND WHEN YOU ARE IN GREECE
In order to arrive to Samothraki, you will have to take the boat from the following
cities-ports:
1. Alexandroupoli / Alexandroupoli Port
2. Kavala / Kavala Port
3. close to Athens / Lavrio Port
There are many ways to get to these cities-ports. You can choose how you will
arrive. From:
1. Athens
You can catch the airplane from Spata Airport "El. Venizelos" (near
Athens) to Alexandroupoli (trav. time 45 minutes)
or you can get the Boat, from Lavrio Port (close to Athens) to Samothraki DIRECTLY
(trav time 9-10 hours). Also train is available , from Larisis Railway Station
to Alexandroupoli (tr. time 11 h)and
By Bus, from KTEL Kifisou (Bus Station) to Alexandroupoli (tr. time 10 h)
2.Thessaloniki
Board on the Train, from Central Railway Station to Alexandroupoli (tr. time
4-5 h)
or just take the Bus, from KTEL Thessaloniki to Alexandroupoli (tr. time 5 h)
3. Kavala
Take the Boat, from Kavala Port to Samothraki DIRECTLY (tr time 4-5 h)
or the Bus, from Railway Station (OSE) to Alexandroupoli (tr. time 3 h)
You can also take the BUS from Patra to Athens and from Igoumenitsa to Thessaloniki.
