Hanan Biton aka Psytekk je nové jméno pocházející z jižní části Izraele. Po jeho dvou skladbách na kombilaci Zoo-B 2 vydává labal U.S.T.A. jeho debutové album.
Jeho hudba by se dala charakterizovat jako syntéza mezi izraelským full on soundem, několika progresivními prvky a temnější atmosférou s typickými uplifting gradacemi a našláplou basou, i když v trochu jiné úpravě.
První track nazvaný Sonic Pulse ma opravdu zvláštní začátek (v tomto momentě jsem se bál toho, co bude následovat :), ale po chvíli se vše zvrátilo v pořádný full-on - na parketě určitě dobře zafunguje, ale jinak nic extra zvláštního. Sub Conscious je mnohem příjemnější track, který mi připomíná zvuk z kompilací od Com.pact records. Povedený track na ráno. The Magic Dragon je typickým příkladem ruce-nahoru tracku....isratrance kořeny se nezapřou. Good Purpose, track podle kterého je toto album pojmenované, patří k těm zajímavějším. Již od začátku je velmi monotónní, skoro by se dalo říci technoidní, ale pak přijde melodie a... těžko popsat... originální. Hodně dobré. Latinos zní jako remix Ayahuaska od 1200micrograms, stejný ženský vokál a podobné postupy v první části tracku...záměr nebo náhoda? :) System Error je remix jedné skladby z debutového alba Beat Hackers. Výborná věc, pro mě možná lepší než ta původní verze. The Phone Call and Closing uzavírají celé album na hodně vzletných vlnách Hananova stylu. Zabijáci na parketě, ale bohužel s žádným zajímavým nápadem.
Podle mého názoru je to zajímavé album, které stojí za to si alespoň poslechnout. Psytekk je talentovaný producent a tohle je docela dobrý začátek. Nepředpokládám, že bude objevem roku, ale je vždy dobré pocítit závan svěžího vzduchu v téhle oblasti, kde hodně projektů produkuje podobný zvuk, který bývá často od sebe k neroznání.

Hanan Biton aka Psytekk is a new act coming from the southern part of Israel. After his first two tracks released at ZOO-B 2 compilation, well-known label U.S.T.A records is presenting us the debut album of this young artist.
We could describe his music as a synthesis between classical israeli full-on sound and few progressive elements with a bit darker feeling. You can hear typical uplifting gradation together with tight bass-line but in a slightly different sound.
The first track called Sonic Pulse has a really weird percussion start (at this point I was really afraid what is this album going to be :) but after a while it turns into a trashing full-on song @ I think it can work quite well on the dance floor but nothing special so far anyway.
Sub conscious is much more smooth song reminding me the very specific kind of music from Com.pact records compilations. Really nice track for the morning time.

Good Purpose, the track that gives the name to the whole album, is also one of the most interesting. From the very beginning is very monotonic, with nearly smooth techno feeling, but then the melody comes and...it is really difficult to describe it @ special points for originality. I really liked it.
Dynamic Reality is dark atmosphere track fulfilling all definitions of neofull-on style, including well-used percussions. Very good one.
Latinos sounds like a remix of 1200 Micrograms´ Ayahuaska @ same female vocal sample and similar music process in the first part of the song

System Error is remix of one of the tracks from the debut album of Beat Hackers, another U.S.T.A. act. Real killer, for me maybe even better than the original version.
The Phone Call and Closing the bring the album to the end on uplifting wave of Hanan´s specific style. Dance floor rockers, but unfortunatelly without any special interesting idea.
In my humble opinion this is pretty interesting album that worth to hear at least. Psytekk is definitely talented producer and this is quite a good start in his career. I do not suppose he is gonna be a newcomer of the year but at least it is always nice to notice some fresh air in this area where so many projects have so similar sound that it is nearly impossible to differentiate
one from the other.
