Tegma - profil

Švédský dvoučlenný projekt Tegma (Omar Chelly & Jason Orfanidis) se poprvé dostal do povědomí v roce 1998 pod hlavičkou Epsilon, v rámci něhož produkoval klasický melodický trance. O dva roky později však byli obaŠvédi pohlceni novou vlnou progressive a minimal psytrance a začali tvořit muziku již pod svým současným názvem. Dodnes vydali přes 40 skladeb na různých kompilacích, několik vinylů a také dvě alba "Encoded/Decoded" a "002:Avantgarde". Kromě toho se věnovali práci na svém vedlejším progressive house projektu "Homer & Lazon". V současné době jsou zpět na scéně, tentokrát pod hlavičkou Tribal Vision Records. S novým albem "Around the World in 80 Minutes" se vracejí zpět k původnímu progressive psytrance zvuku v kombinaci s prvky world music.

Behind the music of Tegma are Omar Chelly and Jason Orfanidis, both born and bred in Swedish town Malmoe. In 1998 they started their first common project Epsilon focused on melodic trance, but two years later they completely fell in love with the new wave of progressive and minimal psytrance, which caused a birth of brand new project Tegma. Since then they have released about 30 tracks on cd compilations of various labels, a couple of twelve inches and also two full-length albums, Encoded/Decoded (Digital Structures 2002) and 002: Avantgarde (Candyflip Records 2005). They are also working under side projects Homer & Lazon (progressive house) and O´Chelly (Omar´s solo project). The third Tegma album called "Around the World in 80 Minutes" will be released on Tribal Vision Records in March 2006. This time Jason and Omar will get back to their original progressive trance sound, mixing it together with the elements of world music.
